This dream all started one day when I was working on our mini ramp and thought about how many times I’d reused the Torx screws I was using. I immediately started thinking, “why don’t we use these in skateboarding”? I then began researching the different bolts in skateboarding and realized that nobody had used torx bolts for hardware.

Torx bolts (also known as star bolts) are very durable and were created to be able to be torqued  more than phillips and allen key without stripping. You will commonly see torx head hardware used in aircrafts, motorcycles, firearms and many other industries that require strong and durable hardware. This type of durability allows them to be used over and over again, unlike phillips and allen key hardware. Believe it or not, phillips head was actually created to strip so they would not be over tightened. Don’t you want your hardware to be as tight as possible?

After almost 2 years of research, design and quality control testing, I’m extremely proud to offer the skateboard industry, “S*KRU Hardware”. Consisting of T25 Star Head design, rolled half thread shaft, with 12.9 grade carbon steel, these bolts will last longer than any hardware you have ever used.

The mission of our company is to offer the highest quality products at the lowest prices possible. Our second mission is for everyone to skate and have fun doing it. Being a 15 year old skateboarder, entrepreneur & student, I know what it feels like to save up for a skateboard product that soon after breaks, strips, rips or just straight sucks.
